La banda Vampire Weekend formada en New York, E.U.A., en el año 2006 tiene en su haber varios EP y LP’s, el último hasta ahora fue su álbum de estudio titulado Modern Vampires of the City que data del año 2013.
Su batero Chris Tomson durante parte de este tiempo ha estado trabajando en su proyecto solista que se conocerá con el nombre de Dams of the West y debutará con su álbum titulado Youngish American. Estará disponible a finales de otoño.
Este primer álbum estará producido por el también baterista Patrick Carney de la banda The Black Keys.
